Security

In secure audio workflows, checksum plays an important role. Within the DOBBIN environment, checksum proofing and the generation of checksums are fully supported. Additionally, FileSecurityCode (widely used in QUADRIGA and Broadcast Wave Files), as well as standard technologies such as MD-5 Checksums are also supported.

DDP Checker

Guarantee the integrity of your DDP images using this Dobbin tool.

DDP Checker example

The example shows a typical application for the DDP Checker.
The DDP Checker automatically verifies the Eclipse checksum in the DDP image, as well as checking the validity of the file format. Based on the result of this process, the files can either be processed further in a normal DOBBIN workflow (in this case using an Audiofile-Inspector to check the quality of the audio material), or deposited in another location anywhere on the network for manual proofing of the image.

Features:

  • automatic verification of eclipse checksum

FileSecurityCode Checker

FileSecurityCode Checker example

The famous Broadcast Wave Format contains special File Security Codes for integrity and security checking of the content of the BWF file - for header (meta) information and for the audio itself. The File Security Code Checker can automatically check the whole archive for broken seals and damaged audio files.

Combined with the Audiofile-Inspector additional meta information can be created.

Psychoacoustic Correlator

Psychoacoustic check of coded files
Psychoacoustic check of similarity

The Psychoacoustic Correlator is used for correlation and comparison of two linear wave files. One aspect is using it to check lossy coded files for coding artefacts and errors. It also can be used for checking the similarity of two recordings of the same analogue or digital medium.

It detects differences in 5 categories:

  • Correlation
  • Dynamic
  • Level
  • Spectrum
  • DigitalZero or DigitalClipv
