Media Process Modeling
Basis of every modern quality management initiative is the explicit documentation of the used business processes, to provide process transparency.
At that stage it is not relevant whether these processes are executed automatically or realized by the workforce. The de-facto standard to model business processes graphically is the Business Process Modeling Notation language (BPMN). It is an open standard developed by OMG that supports Business and IT alignment by being easy enough to be loved by business professionals and powerful enough to fulfill the needs of the IT department wanting to use BPMN to define a model driven architecture (MDA) which describe the process model in detailed level so that the model description can be automatically translated in executable processes. Modern process modeling tools provide in addition feature for collaborative process design, support full version control and are accessible without software installation via web browser. There are solution available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) with a pay per use model and also corporate wide installations within the organizations IT infrastructure.
