Audiofile•Inspector
Cube-Tec's Audiofile•Inspector technology is both implemented into the QUADRIGA ingest modules as a real-time analytical engine and into the DOBBIN Rendering Farm as a File Processing Unit, thus enabling a pure file based workflow. The QUADRIGA implementation provides the operator with instant feedback on possible quality issues, while the DOBBIN implementation allows for automatic quality inspection of large media collections. Both implementations can share the same parameter settings and can, to a large extent, generate identical results.
Based on DOBBIN technology
The Audiofile•Inspector's successor is now based on the new DOBBIN technology. It's no longer a specified module, but a workflow in the DOBBIN System. The first Audiofile•Inspector was a QUADRIGA module designed to automatically inspect the quality of existing digital audio files and to convert standard WAV files into the EBU Broadcast Wave Format (BWF).
Features of the original Audiofile•Inspector
The content of each audio file is analyzed, and events such as digital clicks & sync errors, drop-outs and digital overload (clipping) are logged automatically. When used in conjunction with Audiofile•Inspector Software, analog errors such as distortion, hum & buzz, clicks & crackles, and drop-outs are also 'logged' automatically. The QUADRIGA quality report is saved as metadata in the quality chunk of the BWF-file. After starting the Audiofile•Inspector, all audio files to be analyzed are processed sequentially, in less than real time.
