Cube-Tec @ AMIA 2024

Cube-Tec will be at the AMIA conference again this year. This time Tom Lorenz (Managing Partner, Cube-Tec) will give a presentation on Thursday, December 5th at 2:00pm (UTC-6/CST).

The presentation will focus on the German Federal Archive's large-volume film reel inspection and digitization project, which was completed in June 2024.

Federal Archives' film holdings were relocated to the greater Berlin area. Several hundred thousand archival units (i.e. film canisters, cardboard boxes and film cases) are now stored in large climate-controlled interim storage facilities. The condition of these archival units was systematically documented by the archive technology specialist Cube-Tec International and the storage position for each film canister was individually compared with the database entries of the Federal Archives. To move forward quickly the Federal Archives acquired 10 INSPECTIONscan systems and a corresponding workflow system from Cube-Tec for the technical assessment of its huge analog film holdings.

Take the opportunity to talk to the Cube-Tec team in person!
Simply message Tom Lorenz via Email to set up a meeting where we can talk about your ideas and concepts.

See you in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 4th to 6th of December.
