See the Sound and Vision Preservation Factory at Work

Archiving specialists have been discussing the preservation factory approach for many years. By implementing this factory approach, Cube-Tec has now successfully completed a project at the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision.


We have produced a short documentary film that explains the highlights of this installation:

The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision (Beeld en Geluid) preserves 70 percent of the Dutch audiovisual heritage. With around 700.000 hours of television, radio, music and film, Sound and Vision is one of the largest audio-visual archives in Europe.

We would like to call your attention to an event at the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision next week:
PrestoCentre, a new, self-sustaining European organisation which will continue and expand the work of the Presto projects presents:
"Screening the Future" on Monday and Tuesday, 14th and 15th March at the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision in Hilversum.
