Bundesarchiv in Berlin stores about 80.000 film cans in an erstwhile building of the Ministry of State Security of the former German Democratic Republic. In 2005, a special archive for explosive nitrocellulose film rolls was established there, followed by buildings for technical film processing, cleaning and restoration.

Cube-Tec supplied an AudioCube Restoration Suite with specialised tools for optical sound track processing like Sprocket DeHum for restoring typical optical track errors.

The AudioCube tools excel even with high wow & flutter and shrinkage of archive material. The commissioning was in April 2014.
