MXF Legalizer converts and corrects MXF files in accordance to this German MXF flavor. Under the umbrella of IRT German speaking broadcasters (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) have developed special MXF profiles to improve the exchange of MXF files between different stations and production houses. The final 1.0 version has been released in September 2014.

As the first manufacturer Cube-Tec with MXF Legalizer is capable to create these six profiles according to the new standard. The generated reference files have been certified by IRT as completely compatible. From 2015 the video file exchange within the public TV stations will take place only with MXF files that exclusively follow this new standard. MXF Legalizer is a product to bring non-conforming MXF files into the new format. The essence will remain untouched and will not be re-encoded. Quality loss will be avoided and processing time can be decreased.

MXF Legalizer can be the reference system to create and ensure the production of MXF files compliant to the new ARD/ZDF/ORF/SRG and Deutsche Welle profiles. Because of its own framework technology Cube-Tec has been able to develop this file correction solution in a very short time. The technology behind is flexible and can be used for other formats that are discussed in different broadcast markets.
